Founded by Bruce Beinfield FAIA, Beinfield Architecture has received more than 50 major design awards for its work. In 1997, Bruce Beinfield received an AIA Special Achievement Award for Architectural Excellence for his visionary role in orchestrating the revitalization of the SoNo district in Norwalk, Connecticut. In 2010, Beinfield became the first Connecticut architect since 2001 to be elected into the prestigious American Institute of Architects College of Fellows in design.
